Dishwashing Assistant
Dishwashing Assistant will join the team and will ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment. The Dishwashing Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining a hygienic environment and supporting kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operates commercial dishwashing equipment to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Sorts, stacks, and organizes clean dishes and utensils for storage in designated areas.
- Inspects dishes for cleanliness and proper sanitation before returning them to use in the kitchen.
- Hand washes items that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher, such as large pots or delicate glassware.
- Empties and cleans garbage bins regularly to maintain cleanliness and prevent odors.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including washing sinks, countertops, and floors.
- Assists with receiving and storing deliveries of kitchen supplies as needed.
- Follows proper safety and sanitation procedures, including handling chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Collaborates with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of dishware and utensils during meal service.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors.
