Electrical Engineer
The electrical engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of complex industrial, commercial, domestic electrical systems and power distribution networks. Design and improvement of electrical products and systems. Designing and overseeing manufacturing processes by advancing electrical products, systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, maintains, implements or improves electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products or systems for industrial, commercial or domestic purposes.
- Perform a wide range of engineering tasks using computer-aided design or engineering software and equipment.
- Ensures installation and operation conform to customer standards and requirements by preparing electrical system specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps.
- Creates construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
- Ensures compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Writes reports and compiles data related to existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
- Prepares specifications for the purchase of electrical equipment and materials.
- Supervise or train project team members.
- Estimates the cost of material, labor or construction for budget preparation.
- Maintains electrical equipment.
- Works with a variety of techniques.
- Manages the production, transmission and distribution of energy
- Works with high and low voltage equipment
- Designs systems and products using computer software
- Works with renewable energy sources
- Conduct feasibility studies for new technical developments
- Drafts project plans, makes models, prototypes and circuit diagrams for high and low voltage electrical equipment
- Budgets and estimates timelines
- Supervises technicians and support workers
- Tests installations and systems
- Ensures projects meet safety regulations
- Oversee inspection and maintenance programs
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience
- University degrees – in, profile engineering, electrical,
- Minimum experience in the field of purchase and procurement management.
- Minimum experience in engineering, design or implementation.
- Analytical skills, resistant to stress.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to organize work and manage time.
- Good written and verbal communicator
- Very good knowledge of the English language, knowledge of any other language is an advantage
