Electrician’s Assistant
Provides support and assistance to one or more skilled electricians. General work assisting the electrician including site preparation and clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness and assisting as directed by the electrician. Performs tasks as directed by the Electrician to include assisting with installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, repair and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
Responsibilities:
- Offers general assistance to the electrician including work on installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, repair and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- assists in general electrical work and preparation as directed.
- as directed by the Electrician to assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unload and check deliveries.
- undertakes tasks to assisting the electrician in every project.
- assists to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety.
- liaises with electrician and other site workers and performing jobs as and when they are required., in accordance with contract/agreed requirements and within agreed time limits.
Requirements:
- Electrician degree from a technical college. High school diploma. Electician Course.
- Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
- Experience working as an electrician.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair knowledge.
- Ability to organize work and manage time.
