Graphic Designer


Graphic designer creates visual text and image concepts, using computer software, to communicate inspiring ideas. Develops overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines and corporate reports, etc. Designs or creates graphics to meet specific business or promotional needs, such as logos or images for print and digital uses, including banner ads, social media posts, website graphics, magazine ads, etc. Uses a variety of tools to achieve artistic or decorative effects and often selects the type, font, size, color, and line length of headings, headings, and text.

Responsibilities

  • Studies design briefs and determine requirements
  • Schedules projects and defines budget constraints
  • Conceptualizes visuals based on requirements
  • Prepares rough drafts and present ideas
  • Develops illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
  • Uses the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Works with copywriters and creative director to produce final design
  • Tests graphics across various media
  • Amends designs after feedback
  • Ensures final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Qualifications:

  • University Degree, preferably in Design or Fine Arts or similar fields has advantages
  • At least 2 years of work experience in this position

Requirements

  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
