Cook Assistant
Cook Assistant supports culinary team in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, including food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient kitchen operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing ingredients.
- Supports the Cooks and Chefs in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensures all food items are prepared and presented in a timely manner.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Handles kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including knives, grills, and ovens.
- Monitors and maintain inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, notifying the supervisor when stock is low.
- Follows proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
- Assists with receiving and storing deliveries of food supplies.
- Collaborates with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service hours.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and senior kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
